The Okiagari Koboshi (self-righting dharma dolls) are made from recycled paper cranes sent from around the world to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. They are made in Fukushima’s Nishiaizu, by the folk craft union Nozawa Mingei. Part of the profits from the dolls will be donated to a foundation for preserving Hiroshima’s Atomic Bomb Memorial Dome, and a support fund for children affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake in Fukushima Prefecture.
